Jan Ashley was the first Nurse Practitioner to be hired at SDMG.  She taught school for a few years then decided to change careers to nursing.  She graduated from Cypress College with an AA in nursing.  After working in labor and delivery and in a private practice, she attended Harbor-UCLA Women’s health care program where she received her NP certificate.  She has a wide range of experience and can care for women in all stages of life.

Jan has lived in Taft most of her life.  She is married and has two grown children.  She likes to read, stamp, and travel in her motor home!
